We've seen the left and how vocal and LOUD they really are about getting their way. They are like a child that throws a fit inside of a toy store. We want them to shut up so we buy them that toy. That's what has happened for the last 8 years or so. Except now they destroy property, they assault people and they march.

But that's also why conservatives may lose ground. We are not vocal about what we want. I don't know if it's fear or common decency that makes us this way.

We need to start shouting from the rooftops how we feel and what we want for this country. I think we did that on election day but it's time to keep pushing. Do your part.

I don't know. Some of the lefties are getting really embarrassed about this riot crap. Robert Reich said it was a false flag riot committed by the right wing.
Another piece by a left columnist warned of the effects of protesting everything everyday.

Well right now we dont need to yell. We took control of the presidency, the senate, the House of Representatives, and the supreme court, and we did it without acting like a bitch

Let's hope these uprisings show that the Rep party is the party of sanity and common sense. It might be a hard sell but we have good evidence to go on now.

This could also be viewed as an implosion. The more they do this type stuff the less people are going to vote Democrat.

Considering most conservatives are pro socioeconomic divide, tax breaks for the wealthy, corporate welfare, deregulation at the expense of public concern, privatization of health and human services even prisons, i going to go ahead and scratch human decency from your list.

Fox news, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Trump...etc are the most vocal people ever. Evangelical people are vocal. War hawks are vocal. Your side is plenty vocal and cries of unfairness all of the time.

The marches are due to serious concern the majority of people in this country have about Trump and his policies. You dont see it, clearly, but many do

Oh no. We did. How do you think the terms racist, sexist, xenophobe, misogynist became so popular?

I'm just glad we have a president that says (and tweets) whats on everyones mind. The media can shut him up with their name calling

I just wish more conservatives would quit acting like puffs, and stop talking about how mean Trump is

How mean do you think the MSM was when they labeled people just for stating their beliefs. I mean its become very obvious when the conservatives (including the religious) said that there was a covert attempt at undermining American values, they were correct. And should not have been mocked into silence

But Trump is so sound in his decision making. He focuses on the important stuff: TV ratings, inauguration attendance and telling off that MF'er from Australia.

We hate kangaroos, don't we folks?

If the protestors are like you, then the protests are based upon ignorance. Your tax comment alone is such a trite talking point based in complete ignorance. The middle class were by far the greatest beneficiaries of the Bush tax cuts.

not if democrats keep people dumbed down on the plantation with handouts, approving illegal immigration and importing people from all over, especially 3rd world countries and muzzies not wanting to change.

Conservatives to not have to get loud, they just need to stand up to the pressure. The GOP typically would fold like a cheap suit with all these riots in the past. Trump is pressing forward and speaking his mind. That is a winning formula.

We are not wired like that. We were mostly raised to work for what we want. Not just stand there and bitch and moan until someone gives in.

Politics are cyclical. And this "wave" of conservatism was decided by very small margins in a few states. 2020 could be a very competitive election... I doubt Dems will be asleep at the wheel. Trump is going out of his way to shite on those who didnt support him...

Conservatives will lose ground exactly the way they lost after the 1994 Contract On America initiated by Gingrich and after the 2002 election where the Republicans made massive gains in the midterms.

Whenever Republicans have such large victories, they wrongly surmise the electorate has taken a sharp turn to the right. What will happen is that Trump and his surrogates in Congress and in red states will institute policies which are deeply unpopular.
