I often hear dems yell for universal healthcare as we are one of the few first world nations that don't have it. That we need to tax the rich and raise taxes to afford it. One thing I never see mentioned is that the US spends more of it's GDP on healthcare than any of those countries.

So if Universal healthcare is the answer and we are backwards to be without it. How can we not afford to do it within the current budget that so many other nations can?

France 12.8% GDP to Healthcare
German 12.8% GDP to Healthcare
Norway 10% GDP to Healthcare

The United States spends 18.3% GDP to Healthcare

Maybe if we quit sending our money to other countries all the time? Ukraine topping the list, but the list goes on for miles.

The US could have universal health care if we closed some of our 750 foreign military bases and locked down the border.

That alone would save us Trillions of dollars.

What does military spending have to do with GDP spent on healthcare?

I was watching a video about Japan arming up against China. They were building some air defense that was costing billions that the US was building for them. Once Japan seen they had to pay for the maching and maintance they cancelled it. Our country is beyond retarded to send ourselves into debt and take away from it's citizens to spend money to protect nation who wouldn't make that same sacrifice for themselves.

You can have a welfare state. You can have open borders. You cannot have both.

Ever been in the military? WE Had Universal Healthcare. Dependents had to suffer with everyone else. Canada is so bad .....most earners with the money carry a US Healthcare policy and cross the border for healthcare.

Besides, Democrats are paying to cover over ten million they allowed to cross the border. They are bankrupting hosiptals.

But you are willing ..... let's close the Department of Education and spend that money as a starter .....

Or maybe we could REALLY save the Economy by limiting welfare recipients to one child before they are denied benefits.

US can’t afford everything in the budget now without handling healthcare past Medicare / Medicaid.

Even if they were to completely strip military spending and a bunch of other expensive areas such as social security, they still probably couldn’t fund it.

How does Ukraine top the list when it's less than 10% of the US military budget?

If the US government would get the hell out of healthcare, healthcare would be far cheaper

Name one thing the government does on time, on task, and on budget.

One. Just one.

And sure.. if we get some nation to basically be our military cover, like the European nations do, then we can spend more on it. But we have to be every European and friendly Asian nation’s big brother and protect them.

And now we have to fund another proxy war to the tune of billions while other countries send a couple tanks, a few rifles, and some cases of soup. And after that is over… we will undoubtedly be sent the bill on rebuilding too.

So until that happens, and other countries pays for proxy wars, it takes mega bucks to fund entire fleets circumventing the globe and maintaining a large military.

Oh and now we have tens of millions of illegals to put on the dole for votes. We gotta take care of their well being before any of ours.

That's an odd way to admit you've never looked at a pie chart of federal spending.

My first girlfriend in NYC was Canadian and that was right after Canada had just socialized medicine. Their system was like ours back then and was fully staffed with state of the art equipment and virtually no wait times.

Now for example, America has 40.44 MRI's per million people and Canada now has 10.35 per million. Carry that out across other parts of modern medicine and the bean counters save a lot of money while people die in line waiting.

Canadians who are really sick like to quip, "My dogs and cats get better care."

I would rather have all my tax money back than receive crappy Medicare for all.

Rather dive into a debate on universal healthcare, I will just point out, if you make up to 138% of the poverty level you qualify for Medicaid and those up to 400% can get subsidies on a Marketplace plan.

That is assuming you don't have private insurance. Which costs more, but is generally better care with fewer delays than the countries you cited.

Stop and think of how many government run entities are efficient. I can't imagine how bloated the bureaucracy would be if the feds were completely in charge of healthcare.

Universal healthcare is the worst idea in the history of this nation.

I'm in the middle of uploading over a dozen videos discussing the fixing of our healthcare system. My plan will return healthcare to the free market, fix our debt, keep government away from healthcare, institute redundant payment and oversight / advocacy for the most vulnerable, and most importantly, again, keep government out of healthcare.

I cannot impress upon you just how stupid of an idea that universal healthcare is, and how disastrous the consequences would be.

Anyone - anyone at all - that suggests universal healthcare, is a lunatic.

Universal healthcare means the government is in charge.

YOUR HEALTH IS TOO IMPORTANT TO LET THE GOVERNMENT BE IN CONTROL OF IT.

The insanity of this idea is impossible to fathom. Imagine COVID in an era of government control of healthcare.

Worst.
Idea.
Ever.

My plan will also increase the number of providers and eliminate virtually all of their education costs, thus reducing healthcare costs. Also, estimates are that healthcare will come down roughly 50% if we all paid in cash, on the spot. My plan puts a system in place to do that.

The current inflation of healthcare costs is unsustainable and the system will crash eventually. We cannot allow this to happen because it will invite a government takeover, which is not acceptable.

YOUR HEALTH IS TOO IMPORTANT TO ALLOW THE GOVERNMENT TO CONTROL IT.
