I'm all for free speech and everyone's right to protest but why do they continue to be allowed to shut down streets and even entire cities?

I support anyone's right to "protest", that's fine. However, when you're blocking roads, businesses and just being a nuisance to people who just wanna go about their day, don't expect sympathy when you happen to be run over, hit by vehicles or just get a good ole fashioned arse kicking. Consider it an occupational hazard, and we'll call it even.

1st Amendment:
quote:

the right of the people peaceably to assemble

But,
quote:

when you're blocking roads, businesses and just being a nuisance to people who just wanna go about their day,

you are not being peaceful
