According to the LA Times it's because they ran out of room lol. I kid you not.

LA Times via yahoo

quote:

California just got too big for its carrying capacity — at least in the sprawling, ranch-house lifestyle that so many people covet and symbolizes the state’s easy-living persona.

“Grow and grow and grow and eventually there’s not enough room,” says Hans Johnson, a demographer at the nonpartisan Public Policy Institute of California.

Not enough affordable room, maybe.

The state of California has the same issue as a whole that a lot of mega cities like NYC have… you can be poor and subsidized or you can be rich but you can’t really be middle class there.

They are spitting dems out of their state on purpose. California’s politicians aren’t worried about their state and the dems are worried about expanding power. If they can push the moderate and financially independent dems out to Texas, Florida, Arizona, and Montana what do they lose? Nothing. But they gain power nationally.

Better question. Why is California not losing seats in congress?

It's too expensive and over-taxed. The only people who can afford to live in CA or the very rich and the homeless.

I read somewhere that you could put the entire population of earth in Texas and still have room. I don’t doubt California people think all of California looks like LA

I really don't care why.

I only care about one thing, really. If they're going to flee the mess they created in California, at least leave more than the state behind. Leave your abysmal voting habits behind too.

These people are ruining AZ, TX and ID.

High taxes which do not provide the tax payer benefits.

If you own a retail business, are you getting the security that you need to operate a business profitably? Can you manage risk and exposure?

If you are a landlord, is the government protecting your property rights?

When the government does not provide a service for the taxes that they collect, people leave.

Hockey stick graph logic. They use it universally. They used it to predict global warming, etc. but just can’t see the flaws.

There is more than enough room out here. This is just the newest lie being perpetrated. How we use the land just one of many problems the state faces and that is entirely on the dems.

Because the census counts all people whether they are citizens or not. This is one prong of the Obama/Biden illegal immigration strategy that the Rs just sit and watch. The other prong is that they plan to use incrementalism to give the illegals the right to vote. When both of these things finish happening (plus the cheating) conservative values will never win another election in this country.
