Who should be the new Secretary of Homeland Security?

I'd nominate Sheriff Joe Arpaio. He'll get that border wall up and stop illegal immigration.

The USCG was never a part of Defense. It was part of the Treasury Department and later the Transportation Department. Defense is for foreign, DHS is for domestic.

yeah the DHS just never made sense on an actual, structural level
it was just symbolic shite from the neocons that ran rampant during the Bush admin. why we lie to ourselves to believe any of that shite was good policy that we should keep doing is ridiculousness.

What does this have to do with the relevance of Homeland security. The only thing you're response proves is that you're incapable of establishing an argument. What is the CIA for? FBI? NSA or any of the 17 intelligence agencies we've heard of in the last 6 months. God your stupid. Just because you saw the smoke doesn't give your idiotic world view a monopoly on the conversation. It's obvious you have not advanced since that day.

Okay cool then return it there. My point is there's little reason for a cabinet-level department and making it one doesn't confer magical 9/11-preventing powers on the intelligence agencies.
