Perhaps Hillary & Barry can give some prudent council on this...

I kind of hope Trump selects Obama to be his SOS so that the media turn on Obama and call him a racist anti-Semite.

James Taylor is on tour so he's out for now but said he will assist during times of crisis when we need a friend.

I think Mitt Romney would be perfect. I know he has a bad reputation here due to him coming out against Trump, but seemingly everything he does has been successful.

And people will bring up the fact that he lost to Obama, but to even become the Republican nominee is a great feat. Plus, it is extremely difficult to beat an incumbent, especially one as popular as Obama.

You may not like him, but he'd be a great choice if I'm being honest.

Tend to agree with this. Bolton is a hawk and Trump needs that perspective though I am convinced that Trump will take a no nonsense business approach to foreign affairs. In other words I think Trump try to negotiate his way through conflicts but if all negotiations fail and we are threatened then he needs a strong SoS to take the bull by the horns.

if Trump wants to keep the SOS a GOP guy, i don't think you can do better than Romney

say what you will about Romney as a candidate, but SOS is about negotiation and public face

Romney cannot be questioned on either

If after all of the nasty personal attacks earlier this year, Trump can still push aside personal pettiness and reach out to Romney,

Shows me how big a man Trump really is.

well i mean i can't possibly believe Trump didn't know what he was doing with his inciting language all campaign. he was a lot fricking worse to Lyin Ted and they somewhat made up without issue. Trump isn't an idiot. he knows he was trolling and creating an incendiary situation (b/c he was better at quick comments and insults than his competition). he wanted the response b/c it kept the Trump Train going

No problem with that. I voted for Romney twice and still think he would have been a much better President than Obama. I will say his GOPe stance against Trump was completely ridiculous and I lost a lot of respect for him.
