Who decides who is in the White House press corp?

Ari Fleischer, former press secretary, was just on Hannity.

Hannity asked him if CNN or others should be banned from the press corp.

He said he "didn't feel comfortable with the government making that decision."

What? They already are. Obviously every media outlet in the country can't be in the White House Press Corp. There isn't enough room.

So, media outlets are currently being excluded for various reasons. What makes CNN or any other outlet DESERVE a spot over anyone else.

Excluding specific outlets over others has nothing to do with a free press. It is strictly a necessity.

I would ban CNN and replace them with another cable outlet that may not have current access.
