How do you get the 1896 figure? Catholics have been the ultimate swing vote in recent presidential elections and several republican presidents have won the Catholic vote.
To answer the question in the OP. The democrats lose more votes due to their pro-abortion stance than republicans lose due to their pro-life stance.

Not having a pentultimate issue is weak.
I won't vote for a pro-abortion politician. Period. Now they have other issues they need to line up with my views on, but if they are not willing to protect the least vulnerable they don't get my vote.

Yeah, that's probably smart. Don't need CA catching word.

Abortion, The act of selfishly terminating a life for convenience is such a weird topic for you to go with your intellectual superiority schtick.
I understand it when it comes to politics and politicians but is championing ending innocent lives worth it that much to you?

What a narrow-minded view.
Zero surprise from me on that.

You have 18 down votes from people that believe abortions for convenience is okay. Wow!

That it is murder. The law does state that if a pregnant woman gets murdered then it's double homicide. Why is that not the same with abortion
Actually it's pretty simple, if a woman wants the fetus to live it' a child, if she decides the fetus is a growing mass of cells that needs to be aborted, then it's a growing mass of cells that gets aborted.

No I'm not, and no one else is either, or it'd already be illegal.
Take a break from the PT board and go find your soul, it's not too late!

I am not focused on when they are viable outside the womb. The science in that regards is pretty settled. Mine is a philosophical question. When do they take on the essence of humanity? That unique quality that separates us from all other creatures? That is what gets lost in this discussion.
Shortly after the sperm penetrates the cell wall of the egg a soul is created and life was brought forth.

I guess the part that fascinates me about abortion is that it is such a huge issue at all.
I mean don't get me wrong. I'm very much anti-abortion. But it's still like 20 it's on my list of things that affect my vote.
In any case. It's just funny that an issue that affects so few people relatively speaking is a litmus test for so many voters
It's a pretty significant moral divide. Honestly I'm surprised it's not more of an issue, especially for Republicans.
If you truly believe abortion equates killing an innocent baby it seems odd that it has not led to more serious protests/stances/actions against those who take part in it.

Republicans lose votes by more independents because of this retarded argument.
Posted on 4/30/17 at 9:32 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!
Abortion is not the only issue I care about, but...
If a political party can not be on the right side of NOT ending the life of 100% innocent human beings then no-one in their political party will ever receive a vote from me.
