I've heard from several sources over the past few days that there is this mystery tape that purportedly shows Blaine Salamone putting a gun to Sterling's head and threatening to kill him before they went to the ground.

If the video shows what has been claimed, this would be pretty damning, I think.

Gary Chambers said on the Jim Engster show that he was briefed by Federal prosecutors who told him this video exists.

If the Feds told Gary this, why didn't this video come to light during the federal civil rights investigation? Seems like this would show the intent to kill Sterling before the killing actually took place.

Why would anyone listen to what that douchenozzle has to say? And not only that, but take him seriously.

I would generally agree, but I've heard this from several members of the AA community, including Ernest Johnson, attorney and member of the Louisiana NAACP. He has a good reputation throughout the state, and I wouldn't put it on him to spread baseless rumors.

And I find it hard to believe that even Gravy would claim the Feds told him this, knowing he would have to be able to back it up soon if the tape does exist.

Never happened, a certain demographic can't admit that they were wrong and is going home with a participation trophy.

And how many of the "aa community" actually claimed to have seen Michael Brown raise his hands and plead "don't shoot?"

I don't think the DOJ met with "several members" of the AA community. I think they met with the Alton Sterling family and that's about it. So most of those spreading the misinformation is getting it from hearsay.

You have to understand that AA's for the most part are easily led by the nose on these issues. Their "wanting to belong" to something or whatever the frick it is has been fueled by false narratives, unethical community leaders, social media, a President wanting to be their homey, and a myriad of other factors.

Most of all, feel sad for them. They are relegated mostly to little slogans and false hope. Slaves to their own selves now.

All LEO are trained to point a gun at a suspect during a felony stop. Guy was armed. No issue with pointing a gun at him and warning him that you will shoot if he doesn't comply. Why do people latch onto this and fail to recicignize that the officer tried to use less than lethal force to secure him / get him to comply and ONLY used lethal force when he went for his gun.

That's what the us attorney said happened isn't it? He didn't keep his hands on the hood, so one of them drew his weapon and pointed it at him. He had to reholster before tackling him. I'm sure drawing his weapon also included telling him he would shoot him if he didn't comply. They were still dealing with someone reported to have a gun.

Even the video we do have showed him doing that while they were on the ground.

This is straight bullshite. It is an intentional lie being turned into urban myth in an effort to keep people stirred up and pissed and, most importantly, donating money.

What a crock of shite.

Feds didn't tell that to Gary. I know the feds and they don't release that kind of info to so called activists. Maybe the family or attorney, but that's it.

Why would the Feds tell Gravy this?

Is he undercover for the FBI? A double 00 spy? Hands down to Gravy.....

First, I highly doubt the feds felt the need to brief that fat frick on anything.
Second, who gives a frick where they pointed a gun? He was a felon that threatened people with a gun before trying to use it on cops. Glad he's dead and glad the DOJ got it right.

It's on the shelf next to the coroner's report saying Alton Sterling shite himself in the leg with his own gun.

Seriously, there's been so much misinformation posted here because authorities have kept evidence under wraps and this entire thing has drug on so long.

Chambers, an aunt, or a poster here can make up anything and people will believe what they want to believe.

This is the DOJ report wording about it below. It happened not right away, but after Alton not complying. I do think the State will argue that this could have been deescalated better but I don't know how that relates to a charge.

"The videos show the officers as they arrived on scene and engaged with Sterling. The videos show that the officers directed Sterling to put his hands on the hood of a car. When Sterling did not comply, the officers placed their hands on Sterling, and he struggled with the officers. Officer Salamoni then pulled out his gun and pointed it at Sterling’s head, at which point Sterling placed his hands on the hood."
