It's ridiculous how government officials will do anything to appease whatever offends these people. When did this even start? Why can't we have local officials that basically say "frick you. We aren't changing shite just because your feelings are hurt."? How hard would it be for a governor to stand up to them?
I guess it all comes down to freedom of speech and just because you tell them no wouldn't mean they'd stop acting like children.
It seems like everything would stop the second the media stopped giving them the attention they are dying for, right?

They are LOUD. Because they are loud, their footprint is larger than their actual numbers. Whiny, loud people usually get attention.
