New gun laws, that many on the left touted as some of the strongest in the nation, mind you...

Oh yeah.. this is happening now..

Southwest homicide is Baltimore's 25th killing this month

quote:

A 56-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Southwest Baltimore Thursday night, and victims of two other shootings walked into area hospitals, police said.

Homicide detectives were called to a shooting in the 4100 block of Walrad St., a side street in the city's Irvington neighborhood, just before 7 p.m. The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

quote:

With 25 murders in the city in 30 days, January 2014 has seen a sharp uptick in the city's homicide rate, the highest in a year's opening month since 28 people were killed in January 2007.

Leftists are leaving people unable to defend themselves. These murders are on the hands of Dem's and gun control advocates.

quote:

Gun control advocates say the fingerprinting requirement will help keep guns away from criminals, because it will make people reluctant to buy firearms for those who are not allowed to have them.

I just don't get why the left thinks taking away guns is gonna lower crime. This is plain, in your face evidence right here. You take away guns from law abiding citizens and the criminals that can get guns illegally have no fear of going up in a house.

Don't worry, there's too many "good ole' boys" that won't let this happen...

It's all about control. The 2nd Amendment was written to protect the citizens from a tyrannical government. Once they control the arms, health care, economy, taxes, etc, you reside in a socialist state completely dependent on the government. Why do all welfare recipients vote democrat? It couldn't be because the republicans want to kick them off the wagon into their dead asses to earn an honest buck like the rest of us. That would be inhumane.

You're exactly right, I never think of the obvious reasons for their mindset

ONLY answer is national restriction of certain weapons, NOT individual states. Maryland is close to at least a half dozen other states where there is NO restriction, and yes, media outlets, psychological testing, but don't pretend certain weapons are necessary. I am against total gun control.

While I agree that banning guns is stupid, these murders in Baltimore seem like the same stuff that goes on all the time.

Has nothing to do with people being unable to defend themselves.

This might be the dumbest post I've seen on this message board. Did you actually learn anything about the United States form of government and the constitution growing up? Here I'll help you out, take a look at the actual numbers state-by-state and I challenge you to make any logical defense for gun control states actually having any positive impact whatsoever. By the way, let's ban all sports cars, motorcycles, swimming pools, alcoholic drinks, tobacco, fast food, and a myriad of other things because these things kill thousands more than guns every year and don't pretend they are "necessary" either.

Gun control advocates are usually the most intellectually bankrupt of political lobbies.

The thugs of Maryland haven't had the time to read the bill first before bringing it up for a vote.

Just curious, what weapons?

So, you're for single shot .22s and such - maybe an O/U shotgun, but no black rifles, no semiautomatic pistols, etc., even though I've broken no laws?

Let's face it, as long as it is thugs killing each other who really gives a shite?

kind of like the old-timey mafia wars - "Oh, a bad guy got shot - well cry me a river!"

If it doesn't work on a small scale, then expand it. The way of the truly wise, and the dem.
