and he started actively campaigning for a long shot like Vivek? Would Trump's endorsement give someone like Vivek the notoriety to put him over the top and beat out DeSantis?

Probably, yes.

Which is hilarious given all of the horrid stuff Vivek said about Trump literally a year ago.

Absolutely. But that isn't going to happen.

One of the other individuals running would win the nomination.

It won't happen. He needs to fund his legal defense.

It shouldn’t… Vivek is a fraud. But his endorsement carries a ton of weight behind it for the primary.

This board would have a mass meltdown from the MAGA crowd and it would be glorious.

Vivek is a joke once you look under the covers and past the speeches. For instance:

He talks a lot about how he is going to shut down agencies and has it all figured out. Then he let slip he is going to use the Presidential Reorganization Act of 1977. Problem is if you read that Act it says that the President can submit a plan but any major actions require CONGRESSIONAL approval.

He also said DeSantis would lose on Disney and was wrong bigly.

He has come out and said we should not care if China invades Taiwan once we get the Semiconductors out of there which is dumber than Biden saying Russia can invade Ukraine.

Now he is coming out and saying "Instead of "Don't Say Gay" that DeSantis should have said "Wait until 8" when it comes to sexualizing kids in school. Ignore the fact that DeSantis constantly corrects the media on the Parental Rights Notification Bill and the Media comes up with those names, what in the actual frick with talking about 8 year olds?

I like Vivek but he is showing why he is 10 years out of school and his only real accomplishment is getting people to invest in his Pharma companies and partner with folks like Pfizer. Being smart and a good communicator isn't enough, he needs a lot more experience either in a diversity of business combined with being involved in civics or running for office.

Of course the real question is what would happen if Trump endorsed DeSantis. I know that is blasphemy to the Trump folks here but there is little doubt that if they actually were working together and backing the guy who more than half the country despises that it would give us our best chance of winning. Trump could ask for just about anything he wanted in return as well.

Looks like we are just going to fight it out though.

Anyone he endorsed would get a bump in the polls. Except maybe Chris Christie.

Won't happen.

If Trump drops out, most of his voter base goes with him. You'll get a token GOP waste of time candidate (and I wouldn't be surprised if it's NOT DeSantis) and then they'll get drummed in the general, which will make the money behind both parties happy.

He'll end up in court (or jail) for the rest of his life. He's not dropping out.

I will double down on this question with, what would happen if Trump drops out and Don Jr jump in and Don Sr throws all his campaign weight to Don Jr.?

Don Jr would be the face of the administration much like Biden is now for Obama illegal 3rd term.

Trump's core 20% or so would vote for anyone he pushes, Don Jr., Vivek, a Democrat, literally anyone.

But I'm not sure he could capture enough to win the primary unless it was already someone fairly known.

He should have never ran this cycle.

He could have endorsed Ron and won bigly. Now he’s got the GOP screwed.

Trump potentially either dropping out or being forcibly removed from the race is the only reason Vivek and Ron are in the race. Whom he endorses will win the nomination. He's the kingmaker.

As others have said, DJT will not quit, he will stay in the campaign till thrown out. He's got a lot of grifting to do.

Wouldn't you have to bump him twice to get any movement?
