I hope I'm wrong, but I think the protests before, during, and after the inauguration are going to be even more violent than what we saw in the aftermath of the election.

If this happens, I think we need to come down hard on the instigators and anybody who is protesting without a permit, or starts destroying damaging people or property. It is a terrible message to send to our young people that if you don't get your way, it is OK to resort to violence to show your disapproval. Let's keep it peaceful, folks...

Right now, weather-wise, it looks mild (for up here) and rainy. That might rain on the protesters' parade and that would be a glorious thing!

According to DC area dress botiques, there is decades low demand for inaugural ball gowms. So there's that. Lol

The economic hit for that is more than offset by the demand for Molotov cocktails...

And in 2008 there was an increase in demand for fried chicken. You know this shite is cyclical brah.

Attendees most certainly don't need to obtain their gowns from DC shops. They're not the only game in town!

Hopefully you were able to find one.

I'm looking forward to the inaugural address.

Anything is on the table. It could be inspiring, it could be dry, it could be heavy on corporate speak, it could be cringe worthy, it could be 20 minutes of him attacking Jeb Bush, Megyn Kelly and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Face it. There is less excitement and interest in this inauguration than probably any in history.

I suspect the lack of Hollywood celebs probably has more to do with the lack of demand for designer gowns. Middle class, blue collar, salt of the earth women don't get their dresses from high falutin' designers.

You are trying so hard to downplay trumps presidency.

It's truly a marvel to watch

Seriously? I suspect you're going to see riots in multiple cities throughout the country around the inauguration. I predict that there will be more excitement and interest around this than any other inauguration in history. Unfortunately, most of it will be because the liberals can't behave themselves...

There will be a lot of build up but it will end up fairly boring. Except for the surreal experience of Trump taking the Oath and it becoming reality. I'm ready

I don't know about that. Trump supporters are a pretty excited bunch. I can't imagine it's being looked less forward to than say George W. Bush's inauguration.

And as for interest, it will have the highest interest of any inauguration in history, including Obama's. There's alot of things you can say about Trump, but you can't say he's not interesting.

A busy day for law enforcement. I expect some less hostile crowds celebrating the incoming president as much as the outgoing one, but also expect MSM to largely cover the event as "full of chaos" in some typical spin. It'll definitely be an interesting one.

I suppose the trains will start rolling to the Trump concentration camps he's already built. Literally Hitler.

I've seen the security plan. Any violent protesters are in for a rude awakening.
