The UK will tell lie after lie after lie, IF their own prestige is at stake OR if lying serves the best interests of the UK.
I would not expect the UK to admit it if they are guilty of something embarrassing should it be revealed. They would definitely tell a lie, rather than admit an embarrassing guilt. That is how they roll now, and that is how they always have rolled.
