What if Trump pardons James Earl Ray

at the request of the King family. It's pretty well known that the King family doesn't believe he did the shooting (not looking for conspiracy responses).
Would the media, Dems & SJWs have a complete meltdown? How would they spin it to where the King families were a bunch of Uncles & Aunts?

I'll do you one better: What if Trump pardons Charlie Manson? At the press conference, Trump could say: "Manson didn't kill anybody."
What if Trump pardoned Adolf Hitler? Trump could say: "When you think about it, Hitler is like Charlie Manson -- neither of them personally killed anybody. If I told you to go jump off a bridge, would you do it? And if you do it, am I guilty of murder?"
So, you see, the possibilities are endless.

You mean that Trump should say at the press conference: "I've pardoned Ted Cruz for all of his crimes committed as the Zodiac Killer because I know things that other people don't know and Ted Cruz is the Zodiac Killer" ?

Never heard that the King family believed Ray didn't do the shooting. If not him then who?
If the King family publicly and openly begs him for the pardon then perhaps yes. Otherwise hell no. Not worth the political hit he would take.

There was some award that JEJ was given for civil rights years ago, and the plaque said "James Earl Ray".

It is....I know they met with Ray when he was in jail and they were convinced he didn't do it. I think there was a 60 Minutes (or a similar show) done on it.
