All this was in the works for the last 10 years. Everyone in the West just wanted to ignore it. The Ukraine stuff was telegraphed the second the Russians took Crimea. Hamas had been a frog in a slow boil. Netanyahu has been looking for an excuse to take on Iran for at least 20 years. It was only Ehud Barak and the old Mossad infrastructure that were keeping him from doing it..
