Why is there ZERO coverage of Harvey's brother and arguably the person closest to him who either knew or engaged in the same despicable acts with young starlets?
quote:
Weinstein has been married twice. He has two daughters and a son from his first marriage. Weinstein married Anne Clayton, a former book editor, in 2000. They have three children and lived in a large townhouse on the Upper West Side. Anne filed for divorce in April 2012, and sought a protective order because she feared "bodily harm." Weinstein issued a statement from Don Sloane, a Washington-based interventionist who denied that Weinstein was a danger to his wife, and who said that Annie was reacting to a family intervention conducted to address her alcoholism. Anne's lawyers denied that their client suffered from any addiction, and said that Sloane's statement was from Weinstein's paid agent, who had never met Anne Weinstein
seems like the same MO as his brother. Destroy the accuser.

Well I bet Anne would never lie about anything.

The Post’s Julia Marsh reports an appeals panel nixed Annie’s request for more time to challenge her prenup and tossed demands that the movie mogul pay for a chauffeur, plus expenses on a Michigan vacation home.
Annie, who filed for divorce in 2012, claimed she was pressured into signing the prenup hours before her rehearsal dinner in 2000.
She also said Bob had promised to rip up the agreement after 10 years of marriage.
But the Appellate Division found the deal was negotiated for four weeks and Annie was represented by an attorney.

right, the weinstein's have no track record of burn-it-to-ground negotiation tactics.
and what does that have to do with him destroying her reputation so he wouldn't have to pay her anything in the divorce?

What about Bob?

After a flood of sexual harassment allegations, Harvey Weinstein’s younger brother and former business partner Bob Weinstein spoke out Tuesday about the accusations, calling his brother “a very sick man” and his remorse “hollow.”
“My brother Harvey is obviously a very sick man,” Bob told TMZ in a statement. “I’ve urged him to seek immediate professional help because he is in dire need of it. His remorse and apologies to the victims of his abuse are hollow. He said he would go away for help and has yet to do so.”
good job bob, you're saying you knew about this for decades but didn't follow up.
YOU'RE NEXT BOB.

Well they did have a pre-nup so so got what she agreed to (apparently it was negotiated over 4 weeks with an attorney advising her).
Secondly, I mainly wanted to point out that maybe, we shouldn't just jump on what either side in a divorce is spewing out. It's an emotional time and the parties involved can have many different motives to say mean and untrue things.

kinda like this?
quote:
“He has proven himself to be a world-class liar and now, rather than seeking help, he is looking to blame others,” Bob Weinstein told TMZ. “His assertion is categorically untrue from A to Z. I pray he gets the help that he needs and I believe that it is him behind all of these stories to distract from his own failure to get help.”
ABC News suggested that this reference was in response to reported claims by “longtime friend” of Harvey who claims he believes his firing was a “takedown” and that “he feels betrayed by his brother.”
