You can put a wig and lipstick on a pig, but it's still a fricking pig. They can call them all the Pope for all I care, break their kneecaps and dump them in the middle of a desert to die. Preferably on the other side of the fence.

"asylum" refers to a legal status for a certain class of immigrants, not all immigrants

I'm not disagreeing with you there, but they just used the term "asylum seekers" as a blanket term for illegals with no appearance of trying to make the distinction between the two.

Talked to a BP agent that said the US has a treaty with some central American countries whereby all they have to do is make it to US soil, claim asylum, then they are given a couple thousand bucks and given a court date...which they never show up to.
