Since apparently, inspiring a group of young people by a US president is akin to "Hitler Youth", was that what this iconic JFK/Bill Clinton moment was, as well? I mean, just look at the fervor in young Bill's eyes.

People have lost their damn minds.

While people have lost their damn minds, this is stupid and the comparison is stupid.

I just saw the snippets of the Boy Scouts thing. The media is really being stupid with this one.

Not really. Actually, not at all. It is a great comparison of just how insane the left has become.

What's an apt "comparison" to such complete and total inanity, pray tell?

I submit, that's the point.

The thing that amazes me is that this event was filmed... I mean the kids were literally chanting "we love Trump we love Trump", so any attempt to try to present it as if they were scared or felt uncomfortable is clearly a lie.

I think what really tweaked them was when Trump asked if Obama had ever been, knowing that the kids would boo. Then he did his patented "I want no part of this" - turn his back to the stage - wrestling move. That masterstroke really sent them over the edge and it is glorious

I actually saw liberals this morning saying that Obama HAD been, they "corrected the record" against Trump, saying that the stuttering Kenyan gave a video message in 2010

The Boy Scouts have tended to always be conservative, since things like "to do my best... to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight" are more conservative-like values. The Boy Scouts have been under tremendous pressure in recent years to confirm to the SJW wishes. The Girl Scouts folded pretty easy. I can easily see why they would have disdain for former President SJW and cheer for our current President. Comparing them to the Hitler Youth is a stupid one, since I don't recall the preaching of racial superiority in my days with the organization.

How? He made a nonpartisan event for KIDS a hatred filled speech that reeked of division and contempt.

There was nothing joyful about that speech. Why would you want your kid around that?

Please give me a break - you're a sports fan, so you know that effective high school coaches or even gradeschool coaches can give Tough-love type speeches.

At worst this was a tough love type of message delivered with a glint in the eye and a bit of bravado.

The thing that baffles me is it the kids obviously loved it. have you watch the clips, or are you just parroting CTR?

None of my coaches ever reached us spewing hate.

I've seen it done, but I've seen and experienced it the right way as well.

Trump doesn't play the right way. And it's hilarious how a group of people that bash others for not playing the right way love a president that trash talks, cheats and plays dirt. He plays a certain type of ball. I won't say it, but it's an old saying and it'd get me banned.

It's quite ironic and quite hypocritical.

At least he's not obama huh

So that makes it okay? That because obama stooped low that trump can?

Is that how you govern your world morally?

So do you not agree that the majority of kids there seemed to love it?

Kids have pretty good instincts and would not cheer and go along with something that was off.

The kids in the audience were mostly 12-17 year olds

Well....that is better that the predecessor - where the moral reasoning was closer to nonexistent.
