The body of a paddleboarder who went missing on Sunday in the waters of Martha’s Vineyard has been found.
According to Massachusetts State Police, divers recovered the body of the 43-year-old male just before 10 am from Edgartown Great Pond, on which the Obama family's $12 million mansion lies.
"MSP Underwater Recovery Unit divers made the recovery after the victim’s body was located by a Massachusetts Environmental Police Officers deploying side-scan sonar from a boat," police stated.
The recovery was made around 100 feet from shore, where water was around eight feet in depth.
According to the Daily Mail, the 911 call and dispatch address for the incident was the Obama’s Martha’s Vineyard home. It is unclear whether the former president was staying at the estate at the time.
Police responded to the pond in the area of Turkeyland Cove at around 7:46 pm to a report of a male paddleboarder who had gone into the water. The man appeared to briefly struggle to stay on the surface, and then went under and did not resurface, police said.
Another paddleboarder had been with the male at the time and saw him go under the water.
Numerous agencies including Edgartown Fire and all island fire departments, local police, State Police patrols, Air Wing, and detectives, the Dukes County Sheriff’s Department, and the Coast Guard.
Searches continued through the night, but divers were unsuccessful. A pause was issued to allow dive teams, flight crews, and other responders to re-equip and assess next steps. The search was continued on Monday morning.

The Obamas going full Clinton post presidency. When does Michelle announce?

They would manufacture a way to pin it on Trump too.

Just a mere year ago that was 7 feet of water, per global warming experts

Was Hillary visiting and just couldn't restrain herself?

Even more impressive is that a hundred years ago it was... around 8 feet.

Can anyone just go swim up to Obama's house?
Odds are good they knew this guy

Bonus: It was a black dude.
Ed Buck 2.0?
It'll be interesting to see what details come out about the deceased in the weeks to come.

Edgarton Great Pond is a public waterway, and there are almost a hundred homes fronting on it. The Obama home is located on the spit of land between Slough Cove and Turkeyland Cove.
Odds are thus about 100:1 that they did not.

Is the paddleboarder's name Devin Archer?

Yeah, but the point being that Obama has secret service protection for himself and his family. I don't see them being cool with random people paddleboarding up to Obama's house.
They had to be close enough that Obama's family could see them and call 911.
Not releasing the name is also a bit suspect if it's just a random person.

What did this paddleboarder have on the Clintons?

They should check the corpse to see
If Obama’s DNA is in him

He was with a second person who survived. That person knows who it is. This isn't a mystery.
Posted on 7/24/23 at 3:44 pm to Mac Power
quote:That is not included in any article that I have seen. There was a second paddleboarder on the pond, who saw the guy struggle and go under. I have seen no article that says the two knew one another. Example:
He was with a second person who survived
quote:From that limited data, any inference that they knew one another is not yet warranted.
Another paddleboarder who was at the scene when the tragedy unfolded told authorities that he saw the man struggle to stay on the surface and then go underwater. The victim’s paddle board and hat were found later that day.
With all due respect, you are doing what this board does best ... jumping to conclusions based upon insufficient evidence.
