...it was on full display last night. Our country is being run by a radical socialist!! At some point...it will become too late to do something about it.

Cliffnotes? I refused to watch...
They are peppering some of it in on CNBC and I browsed the news sites.... From what I am seeing, it sounds like it was "Its my way or the highway, I will use EO to get my shite done, the Repubs are obstructionists"

And those politicians at the State of the Union last night who are obligated to defend the Constitution will not do their duty.

Pretty much sums it up.

Sadly, this is exactly what we deserve after the majority of his voting people wanted this a little over a year ago. How someone could have pulled a lever for another 4 years of this administration is beyond me.

It galls me every time I see Holder walk in. He should have been arrested the first time he walked in after being held in contempt of congress and thrown in jail in the basement.
It would be symbolic to the nation that our congress isn't going to let this administration run roughshod, but sadly... that's not the case.

It is by far not the first time Congress has let it's people down. It was most prevalent for me during the 60's. Social issues became mainstream impetus and the governments agendas became the norm.

I was baffled and disappointed as well.
It is said that people vote with their wallets. Sadly, far too many basically view the Government Teat Suckle as their employer and filler of their wallet with unemp, disability, WIC, food stamps, medicaid, etc.
People want free stuff. People need free stuff.
Plus ... how could you not vote for the 1/2 black guy ? Are you racist or something ?

I'm disappointed. I would honestly like to hear the other "side's" POV on what was said.
Could you please explain what the position of those in support of initiatives / characterization of the State of the Union that was expressed last evening?

I sort of half paid attention, and all I heard was a bunch of brand building.

This is why I did not watch. I am not averse to hearing the opposing "side" at all.
But, the State of the Union has become nothing but a campaign bullshite dreck party. Lots of allusions and grandiose rhetoric.
It is the political Oscars without the "get the frick off music" and mic time-out.

Nailed it. Means nothing.

Uh, do what exactly? There's an election in 2016. You'll have another chance to vote for someone different.

America to a too large of a degree is addicted to its sleeping pill prescriptions. Don't even bother to try and wake them from the stupor as reality is beyond dealing with to them.

The leaches of society almost outnumber the producers and soon will once he exec orders that all illegal immigrants are now voting citizens. We are so fricked in this country it's unreal; I'm really worried about the future my kids will face.

...Impeachment....if this clown was held to the same standard as other US Presidents...he would be gone already. But, like other "minorities", the same rules DO NOT APPLY.
