WAFB is a teeny weeny little cog in a big wheel of mass disinformation and propaganda that feeds you and all of America on a steady diet of what is acceptable thought. There are no investigative journalists anymore, just mouth pieces for the machine, paid to make it palatable and present themselves as integrity driven professionals in the process.

Local network affiliates are handed the same propaganda script the parent network uses, the only difference is the local affiliates do weather, traffic and local feel good stories.

I just learned on one of my kids field trip to KTBS (Shreveport ABC affliiate) they are one of 6- yes 6- independent news stations left in the entire country.
Part of the plan decades ago for the propaganda Marxists machine was to gobble up every newspaper amd TV station so they control the "news"

That would be the "Baton Rouge Proud" take, ignoring the ugliness that lies behind the smiley-face curtain. I watch them for the weather and sports, knowing they've discredited any real journalistic integrity by embracing lies and towing the 'government' propaganda line. Naive "dupes and useful idiots" in the big picture, and sad, but understandable.
It'll all come out in the painful wash.
(Edit) As I've worked with BR Media personalities, and personally, they are good folk. Just fooled, as many are. Hell, our whole culture is off the rails in many ways. Lord have mercy.
