I wonder what happened to Baltimore that caused it to be in such decline? What made what used to be a beautiful city to turn into what it is now? You think it can be the same thing that has made other cities like Detroit, New Orleans, Nashville or Jackson, shitholes?
What common denominators all lead to a great city becoming a shithole? Think it has something to do with section 8 housing?
The more section 8 housing you have, the greater a shithole the city becomes.

I've been to Baltimore several times. It is indeed a shithole of New Orleans proportions.

Maybe that’s some of it. Once a city becomes a majority minority city and all elected officials are minorities or race baiting progressive self hating whites, it’s only a matter of time until a Cleveland style shithole status is reached.

The same things that happen to every shithole city that was once great. Government.

Detroit should be a case study in how intentions that appear virtuous end up hurting. Pre WW1, Detroit has a black pop of 1%. Industry explodes and needs workers. Many impoverished people from all over flock to major cities like Detroit for work, including large numbers of blacks fleeing the Jim Crow south. A housing crisis ensues as there is not enough housing to handle the mass migration. Projects are built. This and other government programs of the 60s accelerate a welfare state of existence for many in Detroit. Most who can afford to not live amongst people relying on welfare (projects, etc) migrate to suburbs. Most of these people that can afford to move are white and not black. This migration accelerates as auto industry is no longer as viable in Detroit due to government making right to work illegal and propping up unions and taxation being high. Further causing migration of people with the means to do so is avoidance of the environment created by the welfare state subsidizing the existence of many that either cannot or will not work and earn enough to provide for themselves and their families. Today Detroit is 80% black. It is a shite hole not because it is 80% black, but rather it is a shithole because 80% of the population are the decendents of poor migrants with little to no education or wealth and everyone with education and wealth has left.

But Libweek shows a tweet from some numb count with the handle Corrine4Hillary (HRCisTrue45) with a somewhat different perspective.

You literally know nothing about Detroit.

I did notice her top three priorities when mentioning he didnt do anything were....cookouts, tshirts, and tennis shoes.

Given the murder rate in balimore one would have thought safety would have been there.

Or the fact balimore spends 16K per student and they had one high school graduating class where one kid out of hundreds, one kid, actually had skills at the standard level. Thought schools might have been there as well.
