I didn't see it, but you know Trump just made Kaepernick more famous and more of a martyr to HIS base, right?

It's called the bully pulpit for a reason.

I'm sure Kaepernick appreciates the attention he is so desperately seeking.

And it may be, but do you think Trump converted anyone who was on the fence about Kaepernick?

Or did he just throw red meat to his crowd and kaep's crowd is loving it because Trump knows who he is and is talking about their movement?

What their any actual persuasion tonight?

It's called the bully pulpit for a reason.
Kaepernick knelt for the anthem for a couple of the previous preseason games before anyone in the media caught on to it. At that time he was a mediocre QB, not well known outside the sports world, and his okay was regressing (post Harbaugh) along with whatever popularity he had. And he was alone in this kneeling and its social activism, and what he was causes he was supposedly standing for/against weren't that exteme or controversial (police brutality).

Then all of a sudden the outrage came. Yet, despite his continued mediocrity he all of a sudden became much more well-known, far more well-known than ever before or at a level usually exclusive to the Brady's and Manning's of the NFL. And all of a sudden more people started kneeling, and all of a sudden his activism became more exteme and more controversial. And all of a sudden the trend continued.

I wonder if the outrage had anything to do with his increasing popularity, the increasing popularity of the kneeling and activism, and the increasing extremity of the activism. It's almost like the outrage is making the thing that's causing the outage to become more prevalent and exteme.

blah blah blah... and now the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES just addressed activism of the mediocre QB who was on his way out of the league in anonymity just a few years ago.

again, tell me who gained more from this? Kaep or Trump?

I was at a big high school football game tonight and there was not a person sitting during the Anthem. And when they brought out the color guard prior to the homecoming thing the whole place stood and kids were calling out anybody that dared to stay seated. Was surreal. I don't know who's supporting him, but they're definitely not in in NW LA tonight.

Oh oh oh
Trump and the rest of us should be pussies and hope the protesters go away.

Call them out as much as possible and goad them into showing their asses so we know who to hate.

Don't let those assholes hide behind a fake cloak of reasonableness. Draw those mother frickers out so everybody can see them.
