Vanity Fair to Hillary Clinton: Please Go Away

Negotiating a different landscape requires the Democratic Party to return to some basic questions. Times have changed. America is no longer a lone hyperpower triumphing amid squabbles about same-sex marriage. We’re an overstretched empire fighting about fundamental questions of economy and national identity. The Clintons see that, sort of, but they’re stuck in time. Worse, their network, which is vast and powerful and heavily dependent on them, is stuck in time, too. Precisely when those on the left ought to be negotiating today’s fault lines and creating new coalitions, Democrats are getting dragged back into last year’s fights and letting personal loyalties drown out thoughts about core principles. The indefatigability of the Clintons isn’t just a nuisance but a hindrance.

asurob to Hillary Clinton:Get the frick out!
One would think that the worst democratic candidate in the history of the party would just go into hiding for the rest of whatever!
As much as I dislike Trump, I take great pleasure in the fact that it wasn't, in fact, her turn!

I hope she stays in the spotlight. It is drowning the DNC and that is good for America.

I disagree with so much in that article, but it's good to hear Clinton bashing, I guess. The big problem is that as lame as Hillary was and as little of a message that she had, the party is in the same boat. You've got like 6-8 different groups in the party based around their specific small minority agenda and most of these "interests" of these small minority groups all clash with each other. The "Big tent" philosophy is unreversable at this point. And as silly as it is, their hatred for Trump (the only thing they can all agree on) is their strongest offense right now, because it masks what total disarray aND lack of organization the party really has.

This coupled with the I hate whitey democrat platform is destroying the left.

But what are the Democrats core principles? They are a splintered party that gets more splintered every time another letter is added to the LGBTQR list.

Exactly! They don't really have any "core principles" to offer, just core constituents. I mean, big govt, high taxes, save the planet, global community, none of those are principles, they're just bad ideas.

Imagine how throughly the Democrats could have thrashed Donald Trump if their core message wasn't "kill whitey".
Stop and seriously think about it for a second. They lost to Donald Trump. His own party hated him and people thought it was all a big joke right up until the end. But they lost anyway, and the reason is because the only coherent message people could discern from that jumbled mess the Democrats call a platform was "kill whitey."

Damn shame about what is about to happen at Vanity Fair. Will they go out as a mass suicide or all be killed in an ATF raid Branch Davidian style? Either way, a cult ends.

Meh trump was the only home for us that hate both parties
And vanity fair can have her until she dies because they pushed the "best candidate ever" crap too
That is why she should stay in the public eye
Their next candidate will be "the best candidate ever" too and will be the same lie

Didn't they just give her daughter some kind of made up award?

I think Vanity Fair wants Hill and Bill to go away so they can begin Chelsea's coronation.
