Thanks to you guys who said the proposed law wasn't conservative enough. Your lack of compromise is the problem. You are the head coach who loses down by 2 because you went for the TD on 4th and got stopped, instead of just kicking the 3...

Where was the compromise in that bill?

Who were we even compromising with? We hold both houses of congress and the presidency.

It killed the one thing about Obamacare that HAD to go: the mandate. It also killed the essential benefits. Without the mandate or essential benefits the government isn't telling you that you have to get healthcare, nor is it telling you what to get.

Enjoy Obamacare and the single payer the Dems put in place next election cycle since the GOP couldn't get out of its own way.

frick it. Trump should just work with the Dems and fix Obamacare at this point. Let the GOP pout in the corner.

Do you actually think Trumpcare, which has most of the same problems as Obamacare, but would be 100% the GOP's fault would end up somewhere better?

Obama has been out of office for a couple months. Today was a good day for opponents of the ACA.

If they got everything they asked for, what exactly did the establishment Republicans want?

I don't think that for a second the strategy was to fail a vote and expect it to work next time. Congress will only get more paralyzed on this issue.

How does making most (if not all) of the ACA's failures your own help?

How about not jettisoning pre-existing conditions?

You know that super popular provision that has wide bipartisan support?

You mean the provision that ensures instability in any bill that includes it?

I don't either, but that's not what I said.

My post stands.

Only if we allow it.
