UN wants Americans to cut back on eating meat. And that's only the beginning

The UN agency responsible for developing recommendations for agriculture and food policy will soon publish a policy recommendation that will call on Americans to limit their consumption of meat, according to reporting by Bloomberg.

The controversial new recommendation will reportedly be released by the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) during the COP28 climate change conference, an important annual meeting of the world’s most powerful governments, which ends Dec. 12.

The stated justification behind the recommendation is related to concerns over climate change. The FAO, like many other agencies at the United Nations, claims that human-created greenhouse-gas emissions are causing dangerous levels of global warming.

In a separate 2023 report, the FAO asserted that "the livestock sector is responsible for 14.5% of all anthropogenic GHG emissions," and that it has an especially large impact on methane emissions. Thus, reductions in meat consumption could, FAO argues, result in less extreme climate change.

I’ll take climate change seriously when they all stop flying private for these meetings and switch to Zoom calls. Until then we all know it’s a lie.

Trump needs to call their bluff and require all climate related summit meetings that are funded by federal government be conducted over Zoom. Immediately halt all carbon emissions related to traveling. When they complain they will be hypocrites

If I eat more vegetables, I get more gas. What difference does it make whether the gas comes from humans or other animals?

Was celebrating something tonight anyway that will include eating a decent meal out. Every meal of mine includes meat, but I will also have a steak tonight as I am sure beef is their primary target.

We've been far to complacent on this shite for too long. When push comes to shove on this, and it's coming, we all need to be ready to get off our arse and do something about it.

The days of bitching on the internet are coming to an end very soon or we're going to get steam rolled and lose our way of life. This Agenda 2030 shite is pure evil and this is only one small piece of it.

NATOs expiration date has long since past ……its mission has wholly morphed into something that isn’t consistent with Americas culture. Time to pull out of NATO in a sensible, planned way that allows the remaining members to go their own way.

America needs to fix itself before it can be of value to an organization like NATO.

Honestly, ….. any value NATO once had has been severely diminished.
