I mean OK. You need to the drop on a home with 4 or 5 known violent gang bangers, you probably surround the place and go all SWAT on them.

I'd up it for something more serious than that but if its not banned, this is what the no knock warrant should be reserved for....

Real criminals who have clearly harmed society and mean to do so some more.

Agreed. He had no business being the target of a no knock warrant.

Substitute pot for alcohol, moonshine, cigarettes, tobacco or any other common drug and tell yourself that with a straight face.

I hear this term all the time. What is a "real criminal." How do you differentiate one crime from another.

Criminals who actually intend to slander an innocent person's name, force someone to do something or consome something they don't want to, harass and stalk people, steal/rob other people's property, assault/batter/rape people, and kill people.

Criminals who actually have victimized people.

The no knock warrant is justified in this case becuSe it's exactly what the suspect did. He armed himself an killed the officer.

you need to look up "Catch-22"

The way it should be. One act is violent, the other isn't.

I'm sure that cop brain of yours can figure out which is which.

Ha! How so? Bunch of 8 year olds the police need to start looking for if I follow your logic.
Theft of property is a violent act perpetrated against another human being.

So how does these misdemeanors make you a criminal and not someone growing/possessing weed/coke/heroin/ect?

Because you've victimized people against their will.

Growing and possessing weed does not harm anybody but yourself if you let it. I don't give a shite what you do as long you leave other people out of it. That's called enabling people to own up to personal responsibility.

Simple, you stole property that you did not pay for. You own that weed.

No. Mainly just see black an white. Not much gray in my life. I follow the law for the most part and accept the penalty when caught.

A good reason why this world is so fricked is that people refuse to see the gray.

Ok I'm done. You tools have lost your minds. Stealing a candy bar is an act of violence! Wow! I weep for the future.
Theft of any kind is an act if violence.

It isn't physical violence. Not all violence is physical.

You don't want criminals arming themselves while Johnny law is outside knocking on the door like a moron or flushing/burning/hiding the evidence. The no knock warrant is justified in this case becuSe it's exactly what the suspect did. He armed himself an killed the officer.
So, no knock warrants are necessary to keep criminals from having the chance to arm themselves and shoot back.
And the example you use to justify this is the case where the cop busts in with his no knock warrant and gets shot and killed.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense.
