ISTANBUL—A Turkish court has ruled that Istanbul’s sixth-century Hagia Sophia, currently a museum and symbol of modern Turkey’s adhesion to secular ideals, must revert to its status as a mosque, a shift supported by the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan but opposed by the U.S. and others.

This church is the namesake of my daughter and was once the crown jewel of Christendom. A sad day.

I was able to visit it while it was a museum fortunately. Worth noting the Turks (a supposed NATO ally) are also occupying northern Cyprus

Islam is a plague upon the land. I'm pretty sure the left in the west has modeled its view of history after Muslims.

All we can do is pray God continues to use Trump to save not only our nation but our world.

Yep after centuries of resisting Islam, Europe voluntarily let large numbers of them in. It's sickening

Me, too. It's one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever walked through. Its acoustics are incredible.

At least the Muslims want to use it as a mosque. If it were here in America the Progs would joyfully have it torn down.

In 1453 The last remnant of the Roman Empire fell when the Turks finally took the city of the Roman Emperor Constantine, Constantinople. That building is a treasure, I hope the Turks don't vandalize the murals more than they have already.

I named her using a different Greek spelling of the church's name, flipped. Sophia Ayia

I hope it’s still able to be toured. I’d love to see it.

I would have thought you'd name your offspring "Mises."
