As opposed to arming Al Qaeda? Since when has Assad attacked America? Continue spouting the neocon line Demohawk. The neocons only want Assad deposed because of his support for Hezbollah in Lebanon. So let it be known that you'd rather arm America's enemy if it benefits Israel. Good to know.

Read the article below. How can you call yourself a progressive and yet believe reflexively the pronouncements of the CIA, NSA and its mouthpieces in the media and Washington? Seriously, we are talking about the most illiberal group of people in this country. read a history book goon. Reagan armed the Mujhadeen to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan and then those Mujhadeen became Al Queda.
We armed the group that became AQ.

Praetorian guard protects the swamp.
It's expensive to do investigative journalism. The media that you speak of are a very few and far between. Glenn Greenwald is a good journalist. So is Sharyl Attkisson and Eva Bartlett. So there are some good folks out there however for the most part the praetorian guard which mostly includes the NYTs and WaPo (in print) publish articles which are disseminated nation wide and parroted by other news organizations. It's a cheap form of journalism and it serves as good protection of the swamp.
