As were many. And this is ultimately why Mackey was targeted.
The criminal charges arising from this particular meme are incidental; the man was arrested because he was meme warrior Ricky Vaughn. This prosecution was a warning of what will happen to anyone who has platform that dares opposes the bipartisan reigning regime in the Potomac Beltway.

It was a good interview and a glimpse into the soul of the democrat police state.
We have one party that is willing to win at all costs.
If it means violating the constitution, they will do it.
If it cost the lives of the unborn, they will kill them.
Their opposition party is not willing to win at all costs. It is willing to stick with it's principles.

This is a travesty but the emphasis should not be that it was for 'mocking HRC' - it was for "election inteference"
In either event it was a harmless nothinburger - far less important than the lies spewed forth from the candidates themselves and the news media.
The important part was that he was arrested just days after Biden was sworn in - and the offense occurred in 2016. That is just pure bullshite.

As long as there have been internet message boards — and certainly well before that — a recurring joke in the days before a Presidential election was a “public service announcement” encouraging voters of an opposing party be sure to go to the polls the day after the election.
The lack of charges against Wong is a clear indicator it was a politically motivated prosecution based on the ideological leanings of Mackey.
Indeed, as Eugene Volokh explains, there is no established legal jurisprudence for Mackey to be prosecuted under existing Federal law:

Yet Volokh doesn’t mention the biggest problem with this prosecution: the charge of “election interference” is absurd on it’s face.
According to the DOJ’s case, it appears one of Ricky Vaughn’s main offenses was he mocked the intelligence of a key constituency of the Democon Party — black women.
It is an insult to their own base that Democons believe anyone was stupid enough to fall for this goofy meme.
Anyone talking advice from a twitter poster with a MAGA capped Charlie Sheen as it’s avatar should be disqualified from voting.
