Maybe it's too early to think about the Republican bench, but I think Rand Paul could be a great followup in 2024.

Rand Paul would have been better than Trump. I would have actually voted for him as would many other third party people and a few Republicans who sat at home.

Rand's problem is that when the spotlight is on him, such as the debates he gives very precise, technical answers that aren't easy to understand unless you really know your stuff. It is sad to say it but he should have spoken to the simple folks a bit more in the first debates. He needs to gain traction with the masses first, and then get detailed after he has a large following.

I agree with his messaging problem. The next few years should hopefully give him a chance to better articulate the conservatarian angle of the MAGA movement.

LOL ...yeah .... a wimp who got punked by fat-arse Christie.

Will never be POTUS ... just like his Dad.

He has peaked. Thee End.

Sorry if the truth hurts.

Rand Paul is as charismatic as a rock. He will not be President

Lack of good policy is not his problem

So you're saying Trump's Heir =/= Rand's Hair?

Rand made Christie look exactly like what he was: an autocratic statist using 9-11 almost 15 years after the fact to justify perpetual war and mass surveillance.

Rand Paul and his daddy are the scariest type of thing to modern day Republicans: actual conservatives.

The modern incarnation of the Republican party was usurped by neoconservatives in the late 1970's and has nothing to do with actually limiting the power of the state over the individual. True conservatives should yearn for the day Rand Paul becomes President.

That would be stupid given how good the next 8 years will be.
