While I think his Twitter activity is a bit ridiculous, it also undercuts the purpose of the media which I know really pisses them off. A lot of what they're even reporting is considered second-hand news coming from his account. He gets to control the way the message gets to people rather than someone taking his words and butchering them and taking out of context.

It's a clever strategy. He thinks outside the box. Like how he had the dump trucks filled with dirt all lined up in front of trump tower on election night to prevent gunshots from hitting the building. I thought that was pretty smart too.

I'm sure he does actually think that. A man, who had never once in his entire life attempted to take office, jumped straight into running for the most powerful position on the planet against one of the most powerful political machines in the history of the world, with almost all of the mainstream media against him, ended up winning in an absolute landslide anyway. But he apparently didn't know what he was doing, is a complete moron, and just lucked into it.
This is the kind of idiocy and disassociation from reality and logic that caused the left to get beaten the frick down on November 8th by what they view as simply a failed businessman with no life experience whatsoever. Trump is incredibly smart and the left is filled with a bunch of uneducated idiots who are insecure about their intelligence so they just mindlessly agree with the radical leftist journalists who manipulate them by pretending to be smart, rational, and edgy.

I'm beginning to think the purpose of these tweets is to have the news talk about their content rather than to simply cover the given narrative. It comes across, as I said, as sophomoric but one can't deny the effectiveness, at least in terms of reaching eyeballs.

Won't happen. Trump has changed forever how a Potus will use social media. You can be damn sure come 2020 the social media campaigns will be massive.
