Trump's Inauguration - more significant from a historical perspective than Obama

No matter what you think about him, we have for the first time in history a guy who has never even sniffed a prior political office being inaugurated to the President of the United States -- the ostensible leader of the free world.

It's something that was all but inconceivable before now.

Yet, instead of discussing the vast historical implications of such a thing (something done ad nauseam as Obama was taking office), we are treated to nothing but mindless drivel and 'gotcha' attempts. It's all so cheap and tawdry.

Well, for a lot of children in this country, PE-DJT is the first white President that they will know.

The closest thing to this would probably be Herbert Hoover as an unelected D.C. cabinet official before running for election.

Every other president had been an elected official or a general. Or both in some cases.
