Trump will get close to ‘presumptive nominee’ status today

Unless Nikki Haley can engineer a dramatic reversal of the voting patterns over the past two months, Donald Trump will end Super Tuesday near the precipice of wrapping up the GOP presidential nomination.
After winning Monday’s caucuses in North Dakota, Trump has accumulated a total of 273 delegates, still 942 away from the 1,215 needed to win a majority of bound delegates to the Republican convention.

He’s about to take a big step forward. There are 865 delegates at stake on Super Tuesday — and thanks to his dominance among Republican voters and rules for which his allies pushed in each state, Trump is likely to win the lion’s share of them.
A POLITICO analysis last month gamed out how Super Tuesday could go — and even under a generous outlook for Haley, giving her about 40 percent of the vote in proportional states and splitting the delegates in some states where she has a puncher’s chance to win, Trump would collect another 710 delegates today.
That would put Trump at 983, some 232 shy of the magic number. Under that scenario, he couldn’t get there on March 12 (with just over 160 delegates up for grabs), but he would almost certainly clinch on March 19 (350 delegates at stake). And that’s the bad-case scenario for him.
But a stronger Trump performance — say, a sweep of all 15 states today, with big percentages in proportional states like North Carolina and Minnesota — could bring him to the brink with a chance to clinch next week.

Wonder if some crazy shite gonna go down before that happens. Like 12 school shootings in 1 day.

They forgot to say anything negative about Trump in that article.

He's been the presumptive nominee since he filed with the FEC. Thebonly reason any of them were ever in it is on the chance he's in jail before the election.

Nikki will not drop out. She will continue and run Third or Fourth party if necessary, and it will be to try and peel voters away from Blumpf's pool. It will massively backfire. She's an Establishment Dim in practice, and if anything will pull moderate Dim voters away from Biden. She will not convince anyone considering voting for Trump that she is the better candidate.
We all know who and what she is.
