What is our country coming to when a judge can halt a Homeland Security travel ban and anyone, even with bad intentions, can come into U.S.?

Our country is coming to a place where checks and balances have a process to determine what is legal and illegal.

1. Coming to what the founders intended with checks and balances, the constitution, and the judiciary.
2. Not just anyone can come into the US. That is a stupid arse characterization.
Just because you disagree with someone else doesn't mean they have sinister intentions or that the processes which allow their disagreement are flawed.

He is right, the suspension of this order has direct Security implications. The judge does not have any intelligence to base his decision on. We are allowing this guy to determine the safety of the country at this time.

There damn sure are some people at DHS and DOS who know. And the fact that they weren't consulted is inexcusable.
And if they weren't consulted because close advisors told him not to, those people need to be fired yesterday.

Any expert on foreign affairs and security will tell you this EO does nothing to improve our security. It only appeals to Trump's base and makes them feel warm and fuzzy inside.

"this guy" did not, and should not, base his decision on the threat level but on his interpretation of law. That's exactly what his job is.
