Crazy that senators were saying that they would vote for the bill last night, which was hastily crafted just yesterday, but only with the assurance that it would never become law. My impression is that McCain doesn't think that is a proper way to govern. On that issue, I agree with McCain.

Yeah, not a big fan of his but that bill and the whole process surrounding it had become a complete joke. Can't really rip him for killing it.

Annnddd that is the problem, why? Why leave American citizens with no healthcare. You would rather cut off your nose to spite your face. Why not fix it? Who cares what it is called, fix it, for the American people.

You're a grown man who is upset that Trump doesn't get a check mark in the health care box.

I just can't fathom this shite

You don't even care about the policy, you care about seeing Trump "win."

Maybe Trump should have dragged his fat arse out in front of the senate, or at least a camera, last night to speak to how important this vote supposedly was. instead, he ate his two scoops and hit the sack

Trump can force votes by speaking? Thanks for the insight, Ben Shapiro.

Now you're just making up letter strings. Try again if you want.

I googled FEHIP and got a link to a scrabble word making site and something related to the Fully differential Higgs Boson production and the di-photon signal through next-to-next-to-leading order. I'm sure that Congress isn't required to understand any of that to file a health claim. Clay Higgins, whose name shares some letters with Higgs Boson, would never be able to get a band-aid.

so what did he stand to lose?

he is on year 1 of a fresh 6 year term...but he also doesn't even have a year to live.

nothing to lose. if he weren't terminally ill and he was up for election next year do you think he would be the deciding vote? no. the result would be the same, they'd just get another fall guy. I suspect a handful of yes votes were only cast because they had the count and knew it wouldn't pass.

So the arse clown you voted for, that pursued and recieved a draft deferment during Vietnam, for a boo boo, called the man who went to war and spent years as a POW, a coward.

And you think he's right...

That's what your saying???

Ok.

Who says they'll have no healthcare? They can purchase a policy like I can. There will negotiate types at varying costs, unlike the ridiculously priced three in the ACA. If they qualify for Medicaid they can apply for that. Prior to the Aca there were millions who qualified but were too lazy to fill out the paperwork.
