Trump unusually silent after aides challenge him

Think this article is pretty accurate. Cohn and Tillerson had enough and needed to push back on Trump. Trumps probably in a position where he needs them more than they need him. The President really can't afford to lose Cohn in the middle of his tax cut push or Tillerson leaving with everything going on internationally.

Some close to the president, who has seen his approval ratings plummet, say he needs Tillerson and Cohn more than they need him.
President Donald Trump is not happy with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Gary Cohn, director of the National Economic Council, for publicly criticizing his response to violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. But it appears there is little he is planning to do about it, according to people who have spoken to him.
The unusually direct challenges from a Cabinet secretary and senior administration official seemed to make little more than a surface ripple in the swirling melodrama of the Trump White House, even as the president fumed privately about it.
Tillerson, when asked over the weekend whether Trump represented American values with his comments, gave a succinct response: “The president speaks for himself.” When asked whether he was separating himself from the president’s comments, Tillerson noted that he gave a speech to the State Department denouncing hate.
Cohn’s comments last week, saying the president could do better, came after several days of weighing whether to leave his position, including writing draft resignation letters.
The repudiations by Tillerson and Cohn were not nearly as sharp as some other criticisms of the president, who publicly waffled for days on how to respond to neo-Nazis and white supremacists who marched in the streets of Charlottesville and clashed with opposition protesters.
Still, said Rich Lowry, editor of National Review, “In the normal course of things, a secretary of state would be fired an hour after saying such a thing on national TV.”

But he has stewed, this person said, as the comments from his own staff have dominated the news. Trump has repeatedly said that he doesn’t feel that others on his staff and Republicans on Capitol Hill are defending him enough.
“He feels like when you back down, people will just keep coming at you,” the adviser said. “Even if he knew he was wrong, I don’t think he’d back down.”

You made a thread early this month about indictments coming.... what happened

Cohn and Tillerson are on the record.

You're joking right???
Bannon
Reince
Flynn
Spicer
Each one of those firings were fake news the week before. I have no idea why you guys want to deny there is friction inside the Administration, its natural. What's unusual is it took down most of his senior staff within the first six months.

Go look and find it, but that's not true. You either have me confused or just straight up lying. I'll give you benefit of the doubt that you're mistaken.

is this an impeachable offense, too? You have serious obsession and derangement problems.

And so the downvoting of facts begins as does the even more enthusiastic upvoting of crazy.

Wait, I posted an article about what liberals were thinking legally on Arpaio and connecting that to impeachment. I never said I agreed, only that I found it interesting and far fetched.
I notice you can't attack on the facts of the story or form an intellectual opinion.

Advisors leaving is one thing, but if Tillerson and Cohn or other Cabinet Level people start bailing, this administration would be in real trouble. Not from impeachment, but just in its ability to run the country. These are serious, dignified men. They don't want to deal with shenanigans. They're trying to do important jobs.

I dont see what the big deal is about what rex said
Both men have their opinions and he cant speak for the president.

Well, they don't debate the facts. I mean Trump lost 6-7 Senior Administration officials within 6 month period. Somehow this is "fake news" or liberals attacking Trump . Clinton had a crazy White House and a rough start but now this has moved into the cabinet. Tillerson and Cohn are probably the 2 highest profile officials in the cabinet openly criticizing the President. It's worth examining and discussing?

That's how I took it as well. It didn't necessarily have anything to do with him taking shots at Trump.
