You can believe what you want about what Comey's testimony and if it had any impact...I think at the end of the day it was mostly meh for both sides...but I don't think that Comey would actually purger himself.
That being said this is another example of Trump's inability to just shut the frick up and let this issue fade in the distance. If you are a Trump supporter how can this not disappoint you?

This is such an obvious 3D move:
1. He said, "he said...", therefore, oath hardly legitimizes anything...
2. Trump implied he has tapes...if he does and they are legal...and they discount Comey's testimony...Comey's fricked...along with every other anti-Trumper...
3. As a thought experiment: If Comey were to have tapes...it's hard to see how they could legal, much less proper...for they would prove an IC that is out of control and highly politicized...
4. Comey is a leaker...possibly a leaker culpable of criminal actions...he is discredited...
