WASHINGTON
Kris Kobach, the Kansas secretary of state whose hardline immigration stance has caught the attention of President-elect Donald Trump, could be a candidate for attorney general.

Kobach, already a member of Trump’s transition team, advised Trump on immigration policy, one of the Republican’s top priorities, throughout the campaign and added Trump’s promise to build a wall along the Southern border to the Republican Party’s national platform.

Kobach was the architect of one of the toughest immigration laws in the country, which he drafted when he was a professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Arizona’s controversial 2010 SB-1070 law requires law enforcement officers to demand to see the papers of anyone they suspected of being in the country illegally, and has been denounced for encouraging racial profiling.

Kobach has been criticized for his legal work for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, or FAIR, an organization that says it is working to “reduce the harmful impact of uncontrolled immigration.” In 2014, his Democratic opponent, Jean Schodorf, called him an “extremist” and accused him of having ties to white nationalist groups, which he called “an outrageous accusation.”

It doesn't seem to stop any slightly prominent Muslim from being connected to Muslim Brotherhood. Will those connections become meaningless?

Liberals will try to put the kibosh on Kobach, but they are powerless in this instance.

Not a bad choice, he used to have a radio show that was broadcast out of Kansas City on Saturday nights. Was a pretty decent show and you could pick it up if the conditions were right across a wide area of the Midwest.

Trump was elected president less than 10 days ago.

Every person he talks to is about to be ripped to shreds by the MSM with no journalistic integrity or care about the consequences

Hijack

Slow do I remember you recommending tyt on this board some time ago? I never saw much of their stuff until this election. That group is a bunch of loons and I'm surprised you tolerated it. Or am I misremembering?

The MSM went all in on Trump and couldn't touch him with his supporters. All they can now do is to rile up their own choir, but with an AG who enforces the Rule of Law, the dynamics of unlawful *protests* (riots) are going to become highly problematic for street thugs. And for those with seditious intent. Think George Soros.
