Trump knows that his only hope is to be a war time president

This has always been his plan. This is how he will require allegiance. The risk will be whether he uses a state of war to undertake a repression at home.
Now I will give Trump this. It sometimes helps to be a little crazy on the world stage. Folks will be more likely to respect and fear the U.S. a little more with a crazy leader. As much as I liked Obama, he never projected as crazy, and it was a weakness. There will be some positives from this on the geopolitical stage.
But people will die. Lots of people will die. Trump has no natural restraint.
