You guys slam him for daring to touch Obamacare....then slam him when he doesn't touch it. It's almost like whatever he does you will bitch about it.

I think everyone can agree that the ACA needs a lot of improvement. No one slams him for daring to touch it.

What chapter of "The Art of the Deal" talks about quitting like a little bitch when things get hard?
It is in the appendix. Title is "How to lie to weak willed partisan pussies and have them still kiss your orange arse"

Trump is really trying to place blame on the Democrats for the failure of his and Paul Ryan's bill.

Oh horseshite. They've already played the "Obamacare is failing and we're the heroes that can fix it" card. They ran on and got elected on those grounds. We saw the Republican "fix" to Obamacare and it was a piece of shite that couldn't get enough support to garner a vote.

Clearly the Ryan plan was not the answer. I applaud the Republicans for not being like the Dems and pushing something through just to get something done. That is why we are in such a bad spot now. I will be critical of the republicans if they abanadon this forever. Obamacare is awful. Even if they just do a complete repeal without a replacement we would be in a better spot.

What blows my mind is the democrats are solely responsible for putting health insurance in this awful position. Trump doesn't fix their mess in 2 months and he is villainized by the left. You guys sure are good at creating a narrative. Disingenuous as the narrative may be.

They had 7 years to craft a better solution. They, Trump obviously included, tried to ram something through that was horrible. No villainizing, it was just an abysmal failure that could have been avoided.

Trump doesn't get to vote of on Bills!

I just see this as, as has been stated a large portion of Republicans suck. All democrats suck.

I do not like this bill but the fact that the democrats will not have a single crook cross the line to at least improve the healthcare problem is telling.

Yes the bill might suck but everyone knows it is a least BETTER than what we have.

The republicans not voting yes do so because it isn't good enough and is just another version of Obama care. The democrats won't vote yes because they simply will not support this entirely because Trump does.

nobody...including the republicans thought Trump would be in the whitehouse. It's been 5 months since the election. If they don't come back to this issue I will be more vocal in my criticism than any of you. This bill was not the answer. It was awful. Unlike democrats, many on the right don't blindly follow party first. I'm glad that happened today. I'm disappointed Trump supported this bill.

Did anyone on this board vote for him because he promised to dismantle Obamacare?

It's been three months, and this was his first big effort. Is anyone really confident that he will have better luck with tax reform or the wall?

Except for its not. Which is why it faced doom in the senate even if the House had passed it.

It reduced coverage, reduced subsidies for most people, disincentivized healthy people to sign up, did nothing to bring down prices, and was mostly just a big tax cut for super rich people.

Failing to pass this is bad for the Republicans, but passing it would of killed them in the next election cycle.

This I agree with and made this point in another thread. They were unprepared to put this bill through. That's still their fault though because what the hell have they been putting on Obama's desk these past few years? Might as well have been blank paper.

You idiots mocking Trump right now have no grasp of the bigger picture - he gave it a shot, it didn't work and now you'll be saddled with Obamacare. this helps the Republicans and it helps trump long term

Huh? What's the campaign slogan going to be? Give us another shot, please?

This thread is exactly what's wrong in DC.

Oh look...you lost, WE won.

It's borderline ridiculous & is exactly why shite isn't getting done.

I want my Government to be efficient NOT fail because a Dem or Rep is in office.

It faced doom in the Senate because it needs 8 Dem votes.

For now.

Get the other stuff moving (taxes, wall) while a better HC plan is prepared.

You are missing the point..

Solely missing the point.

You pass a bill that you know unifies your party and free-market constitutional based legislation that we all agree one in the house; send that bill to the senate; let them cuck it away; let Obamacare die; people get pissed and remember how we tried to offer a free-market based plan we all agreed on; get 60 senators in there who will pass the bill; send to the desk of Trump; MAGA.
