WASHINGTON - Young immigrants brought to the U.S. as children and now here illegally can "rest easy," President Donald Trump said Friday, telling the "dreamers" they will not be targets for deportation under his immigration policies.

Shocking.

Also, some possible good news, though I'll believe it when I see it:

quote:

Eager to start making progress on other campaign promises, Trump said he would unveil a tax overhaul package next week — "Wednesday or shortly thereafter" — that would include a "massive" tax cut for both individuals and corporations. He would not provide details of rate proposals or how he planned to pay for the package but asserted the cuts for Americans will be "bigger, I believe, than any tax cut ever."

So sick of this "how will so and so be able to afford to PAY FOR tax cuts." IT'S NOT THE GOVERNMENT'S frickING MONEY!

He cited German Chancellor Angela Merkel as a leader he was surprised to have developed strong chemistry with

They were brought here as children and have grown up here. They didn't choose to come. Many have no memory of their home country.

Seriously. In some cases they have zero memory of their home country and are Americanized. Punished for the sins of the parents.

Apparently Trump does not share your misguided opinion.

Your desire won't happen no matter how mad you get.

Sorry.

"They" are saying this because any tax reform that is passed has to be budget neutral according to the CBO (who has never been right). If the proposal is budget neutral then the plan can pass the senate with a simple majority (reconciliation). If the plan is not budget neutral as scored by the CBO then the tax proposal will require 60 votes in the senate (which would require 8 democrats to vote yes...that ain't happening).

Face it Trump is going to need the Dems because Paul Ryan and the cucks are worthless. You will prob see more of this from Trump to get his deals done.

So you support anchor babies? Should everyone in the world be allowed to plan a vacation with a pregnant woman, let her have her child here, then give each parent citizenship?

I understand that it sucks for the kid, but that's the parent's fault.

Didn't know this. So basically, a democrat or republican president + supermajority in congress DOESN'T have a budget, but otherwise they do? Did the Democrat supermajority over those 2 years frick up that badly?

I mean, I'm against anchor-babying, but you pretty much HAVE to let the parents stay in that case. I say ship them all back to whence they came, but separating them is both fricked up AND will probably end up costing taxpayers more in the long rum.

ETA: "Long rum" = "long run." I'm actually drinking whiskey, so no excuse.

Unless his tax cut comes with an equally massive spending cut (it won't), Trump will in the fiscal sense become GWB 2.0.

I always knew no one would be deported. The left was never going to allow it to happen.

Still better than Hillary, though.
