Trump in Montgomery, AL tonight (UPDATED after Trump Speech)...

Sounds like an appropriate place for him to be... the armpit of the South.
Wonder how much the tickets were? The ALGOP is such a joke. Tried some shenanigans with an election in 2022 as they tried to ensure their Montgomery Swamp candidate, now former State Sen. Tom Whatley, kept his job with a coin flip. (wink wink ... the public was not there) Their top dog, John Wahl, is still in place and will be at the RNC. Complete goofball.
"Whatley’s announcement came about an hour before the ALGOP Candidate Committee met and reversed its June 25 decision to count a previously excluded provisional ballot for Whatley. The committee’s original decision made the contest a tie that the party said would be decided by a coin flip."

Do not know the story. I guess they twisted him arm with "see how we all supported you ... you owe us". He'll win Alabama as AL voters are some of the dumbest voters in the country (see SPUT above)... just look at the election of Governor Granny Ivey... and the fact that lobbyist Katie Britt was elected as U.S. Senator.

I think that in his mind and the minds of his advisors that he’s serious about winning (and fundraising). But you’re right that those other states are of far greater importance. You won’t see Biden out here in Cali other than for fundraising purposes and supporting down ballot candidates. But it won’t be centered around himself.

It's a smart move. He knows his core base and he needs a jolt of inspiration. When MAGA sees these type of big rallies in purple areas where demoralization is much more infectious this is the perfect antidote.
