Lil Kim is going to blink on this missile deal. It is his only possible option at this point. If he fires a rocket now, he will be signing his own death warrant and ending the DPRK regime for all time. It's not going to happen.

Meanwhile, the crippling sanctions will close in on the DPRK andaconda-like. The Kim regime is simply unsustainable now. Kim Jong Un is out of options. The worst case scenario for the US still ends with the total annihilation of the DPRK. The best case scenario for the US is the sanctions remain in place and the regime slowly dies.

America has already won. Humanity has already won. The evil, twisted Kim regime has already lost. It is truly a sight to behold.

He's probably trying to get us to strike first. Wouldnt that be his best bet to get support?

Lil Kim believes he's a living god. It's not so far fetched that he thinks he can take everyone out who disagrees with him.

I certainly hope so. He can probably tolerate escalations going higher before acting, I am not sure we can.

Eh, we're a long way from judging Trump's handling of this.

The solution you lay out would be largely of Kim's own making, and I don't see any genius from Trump in it.

As for sanctions, the idea that they make the regime unsustainable is kind of naive, IMO. The regime survived a historically notable famine that killed over a million people.

this; its been human nature from the time that pharaohs were dying in seas, its ironic that libs shite themselves about Trumps ego, but it will be jong un's unchecked ego that will be his end

Not going to happen. China has warned Kim if he strikes first he and North Korea is toast.

China won't let them get crippled by sanctions. The only way to stop this is a ban on China trade. But the snowflakes gotta have those Iphones. Must be more important than security and freedom.

Uh, I don't think Trump has done much except show that his statements and Kim's statements are pretty much the same. To me that is not something we should want.

The sanctions were a joint effort of the Security Council, which means that China approved and was on board. Give the credit where it is due.

What if the US, SK, Russia, Japan, etc. enforce the UN resolution cutting of trade to DPRK by force (blockades, etc.)?

Is this an act of war if the actions are against the UN resolution?

NK is very wrapped up with Japanese organized crime. A lot of their hard currency comes from illegal gambling operations in Japan.

As our own current SoS said this past week:

I don't think we are leaving them with no options.

This will never happen. For far more reasons than just iphones.

China doesn't want North Korea leveled but they also can't financially afford to NOT trade with the US. When push comes to shove, if North Korea acts out, China will most likely turn a blind eye to the US destroying them.

What does it matter? You've assured us that Trump and the U.S. lose in all scenarios.
