Yes I'm sure the correct interpretation is that the two of them are fighting for disconnected and it never occurred to them that a handshake would be a giant tell. Because I know when I'm fighting with my wife we always shaking hands. This is what we've come to in America. We just pick up imagery and then print our own story over the top of it. Then we declare our own story to be the truth
