So much for a quick and speedy trial. Will be interesting to see the reasoning for the May 2024 date.

Inside of 6 months before the general...

If they take out Trump, do you realize who has brilliantly set himself up to collect his supporters?
Hint: it's not Ron.

What?
The running theory, which makes total sense, is that the Dems are indicting him slowly to ensure the base continues to rally around him and muscling out any other challengers. That's working perfectly right now.
By May 2024 it'll be all over...and time to start ensuring that anyone OTHER than Trump loyalists don't vote for him, thus the trial. The GOP convention will be in July and Trump will (most likely) already be locked into the slot.
This scheduling is exactly what accomplishes that.
ETA: I'm gonna go ahead and bookmark this post, so that when November 2024 rolls around and I need a specific "I told you so," I'll be able to pull it up quickly. As a "movement" being being lead over a cliff by The Left, as usual, and we seem eager to do it...again.

If for some reason Trump is convicted (I do not believe Trump will be convicted fwiw) then it would make the RNC convention interesting. Would the RNC strip Trump of his delegates and have an open convention? Would the RNC risk running a convicted felon as their nominee? Would Trump even have the freedom to travel and campaign? Again I do not believe that Trump will be convicted.

Trump's team requested an even longer continuance.
Trump didn't file a speedy trial motion, either.

You went straight to the ad hominem instead of making an argument.
Bad morning?

Wasn't it originally this winter and Trump team asked for delay to analyze evidence further?

The feds originally asked for the delay b/c it would be impossible for Trump's team to get the clearances to view the documents by the original trial date. Trump's team objected to their proposed trial setting b/c they wanted this trial set even further out (after the election).

He messed up last night and told the board he never voted for Trump. Not in 2016 and not in 2020....
And people are calling him out now.

Just like I asked him if he has any actual evidence about your previous associations, do you have any evidence that he did say he voted for Trump previously?
