We can agree to disagree on the arts part but you don't think it's important for citizens to have access to adequate legal counsel when faced with the state taking away their freedom?

The security costs are bean counter costing.
The costs don't actually reflect reality because they don't deduct the reduced security costs of his time spent in DC or Camp David or wherever.
