If this is done right then it could be awesome. Get the marching bands out there, allow a piece of equipment (tank, water truck, troop transport, etc.) from each major group. They can have a banner displaying who they represent. Allow the vets to march/ride along with the current guys. Have a handful of flyovers. Bring in the military colleges and allow ROTC and Junior-ROTC groups to participate - kids fricking love that kind of shite. Get that group out there from the beginning of "A Few Good Men." Play enough John Philip Sousa to make you never want to here it again.
Have some of you never seen a military parade? I remember being in small-town Louisiana when a local group headed out to Desert Storm; they had a big show of it right down main street. It was something to behold.

absolutely stupid idea. I love small town/city July 4th parades of locals and local veterans. That, with picnics and family outings is what we do to celebrate July 4. We do not need a parade of our professional military and weapons in front of political leaders like fascist and communist states have always done.
That Trump would suggest this once again shows he has little understanding of American traditions and the celebrations we hold dear.
