It was a landslide from the EC perspective. And he does essentially have a mandate in government (he still needs a few Senate seats for a complete mandate in government). I wouldn't go so far to say he has a popular mandate though.

I'm not disputing the electoral results but you don't get a mandate from the electoral college. More Americans voted for the candidate that lost and in the states that tipped the election to Trump the margin was razor thin. That does not a mandate make. I really don't even see this as a controversial statement or something that would be debatable.

I only thought I hated democrats before this election. Now I view them as threats to an actual functioning democracy. They have no interest in trying to cooperate to build a country for all citizens. They would be perfectly happy demonizing and incarcerating their ideological detractors. They are insufferable assholes.
